The loud silence of disorder

It is funny to think how dramatically the intensity of conceptions can change when one starts noticing contrast. The jungle was perhaps as loud as the cobbled streets of Bangalore, but the noises were strangely silent.
Perhaps it is the collective rage of unspoken disapproval that hangs eternally over the crowded streets of the city, or perhaps it is the hushed personal malice. I can’t say which, but it makes me want to run away.
Because the unsaid is often louder than what’s said.

and the city is a boiling pot, as you rightly said, dissaprovals and animosities seething under. Once when they spill over and these masses takes up arms, you and I will run on behalf of the Great Indian Middle class, to the jungles, for cover.

For once, the write up proved to be better than the pic.

I agree...silence can mean alot of things...some kinds of silence can be quite deafening. Such as hushed personal malice.

lash: have you looked at the working class of the prosperous cities? The ones that are transported stacked into the back of trucks, and live by the road in the slums their prosperous employers let them build for themselves? They hate us. For the way we spend, for the way we blow up the prices, for the way we flaunt wealth, and the way we starve them to death.

usha: thanks. :)

keshi: And when the silence becomes defeaning I start to sing.
:)

ash: Beautiful, yes.. but the innocence they've lost. Childhood was their right!

loon gal: thanks for coming by!

smiles for sale...somehow smiles can never be for sale...they can only be given away...shared.

in the boiling pot of this city, if people can still smile, and people can still capture it, i think we still have hope :)
